In China’s Wuyi mountain, the great royal red robe (Da Hong Pao) is recognized as one of the best tea leaves. According to legend, the tea leaves earned their name because a court official draped his red robe over the tea tree to express his gratitude for saving his life. The tea is dark red and carries the fragrance of the pollen.
